Daniel W. Deane lies in grave B1 of the Prescott Post lot. The plot survey records his stone as naming his unit as Company C of the 22nd Massachusetts Volunteers, and gives his death as March 27, 1919. [1]
No Daniel W. Deane was found in the index for the 22nd Massachusetts; the spelling on his service record may differ. [2]
A 2022 list of Civil War veterans buried at North Burial Ground gives his death as 1919. [3]
