Life
Elijah E. Ferrin lies in grave A1 of the Prescott Post lot. His stone names his unit as Company C of the 28th Maine Infantry, and gives his death as January 18, 1928. [1]
The index has no Elijah E. Ferrin in the 28th Maine; the only Ferrin it lists in that regiment is an Eaton Ferrin. The identity behind the stone is not yet confirmed. [2]
A 2022 list of Civil War veterans buried at North Burial Ground gives his death as 1928. [3]
His service record, any pension file, and his life before and after the war have not yet been researched. This page will grow as the records are read.
